Challenge your taste bud with the Strongest Matcha Gelato in the world with Suzukien x Nanaya!
They claim that you could get the strongest Matcha Gelato in Suzukien x Nanaya Gelato Shop which is located at Asakusa just 500m walking distance from Sensoji Temple.
They offer matcha gelato flavor ranging from No. 1 – 7 by differentiating on the intensity of the matcha gelato. No.7 is their Premium Matcha flavor that will make your taste bud dive in to the richness of Matcha.
For non-matcha lover they also offer non matcha flavors of gelato; adzuki bean (red bean), strawberry, black sesame and not forgetting the my all time favorite Hojicha flavor (Roasted Green Tea)
The price range for the gelato stars from ¥370 and you can mix and match based on your preference. They have cone and cup 🙂
Look how dark is the color from light green to dark green! You can image how RICH it was going to be!
Have one scoop of No.7 Premium Matcha gelato and the color is so sharp! The No.7 Premium Matcha looks like it has been added a few drop of super green food coloring on it. (Just kidding..lol..) The taste was Matcha bitter at first scoop but then the after taste was intense and is still acceptable yet not overpower.
I can’t really compare the taste for No.7 Premium with No.1 as we did not purchase the No.1 Gelato. Guess the No.1 will taste lighter or milder compare to this premium flavor.
Don’t forget their Hojicha flavor too, love the roasted after taste!
Location: 3-4-3 Asakusa, Taito-ku , Tokyo.
Operating Hours: 10 am – 5pm.
Tips: Gelato shop could get crowded sometimes so go early to avoid the crowd and long queue.
Bangkok has many cafe to offer you will never know what you found. Bump in to this Root Garden Cafe located at Thong Lor. This is a very fresh concept for a cafe you feel kinda “zen” with it. Root Garden Cafe are more on country side-farmers kinda feeling. What’s best is they are open door cafe very nature; you can feel the bonding with the nature and is very urban.
Root Garden at Thonglor
They had many hays around and they even use it as table and chairs for the Cafe, is very eco-friendly I would say. As you can see is really full of hays laying around as an accessorize for the outdoor concept. Feel’s like playing “Hay Day” huh! (smirk).
Just grab a cup of coffee and sipping your day through. Open door cafe concept is really great for summer!
They have few plantation (very organic) around and you can even feed the chickens and goat as well. You might start to hums Old MacDonald’s song at that point of time.
Here is me messing around with the goats.
Last but not least take the a picture of yourself. Is outdoor and you can really get great lighting from the natural sun hey!
Root Garden is located Thonglor Soi 3. Nearest BTS station is Thonglor, from there take the Exit 3 and walk your way trough the shops & restaurant – approx 10 minutes to reach Root Garden on you left. You can also opt to “tuk tuk” to bring you there.
You wont get to missed it as is a very eye-catching cafe with all this beautiful flowers and plants around it. Have Fun!
Is really a great experience from the overnight cruise trip at Milford Mariner with Real Journeys. Through out the journey it rained heavily but it was a good news where by the time we reach we will get a great view of waterfalls full of pouring water thanks to the rain.
We depart from Real Journeys office at 9am before that they appointed a taxi for us from our hotel to get to the office.
Our first pit stop was a coffee house totally forget the name and the area. Mind me!
Get to see few Alpama at their backyard.
We also stop Te Anau Downs- Harbour depature point where we fix our lunch at a decent japanese restaurant- Pop Inn. They serve good Udon & curry rice.
Knobs Flat is a rest area for campers. We also went to Mirror Lake but it rained badly so we cant see any reflection during that time also we pass through the Hommer Tunnel as it rained the picture was not clear.
Once we reach at the harbour point the rain stopped right on time at 3pm.We get our room key and sail our way to Milford Sound. The room was very comfort and well taken care of.
We get to witness different type of waterfalls with explanation by the captain & crew team.
Spotted a rainbow!
After that we are told to get ready for dinner.
The food was very good and there are plenty of choices for dessert couldn’t ask for more.
After a fruitful dinner, we were asked to choose either one of the activities to participate: swimming in below 9 degrees , kayak or boat ride spectacular.
All of the on board passenger choose boat ride spectacular since is freaking cold and there are drizzle of rain at that moment.
Hey who wants to get chilled and swim? I would like to try it out but I think my body will freeze to death and I dont have my swimsuits on with me. *grins*
Look how flat was the water!
Oh look our ship! We get to see seal too but there were no penguins and dolphin during that time. How sad.
Magnificent night view; the whole area was light by the moon light and sky full of stars. For the rest of the night we get to play board games and admiring the night view of Milford Sound.
The next morning breakfast was prepared and we are being told to finish up our breakfast quickly as the ship will sail out to Tasman Sea and head back to the harbour, it will be quite shaky and yes I to experience the shake as the wave rush towards us.
This is a another pit stop on our way back to Queenstown – forgotten what it was called. *grins*
Later on we went to The Chasm a loop forest walk offers views of waterfalls and sculptured rock formations. I really love this little place I get to see wet moss forest!
Impressive rock chasm formed by the rushing waters of Cleddau River
It was a pretty good weather on our way back and is good tho since I get to experience both weather in such an amazing journey.
Milford Sound is a very nice place with full of nature surrounding- nature at it’s best .
It was always in my wish list to have my Bungy experience in New Zealand especially at Kawarau Bridge because the view is freaking nice. (maybe there is more places that I have not discover yet).
So the Kawarau Bridge bungy is under AJ Hackett Bungy and they have few bungy spots around globe. For Kawarau Bridge Bungy it was only 43 meters and is the World’s 1st Commercial Bungy Jump.
So they will provide transport to the Kawarau Bridge which took approximately 20 minutes from The Station Building at Queenstown. There are few time slots for you to choose from for the bungy jump mine was on noon 1pm.
They will first weight you and then determine which type of rope to tie on your legs and they will ask you whether you would like to “touch the water” so they will tie the rope longer (i guess so) I did not opt for that option. Then they will provide you a bungy gear for you to wear and you can jump any time when you are ready.
There are few hidden camera so they can take few shots of our bungy experience and video as well. So you can have a few pose before you make the “JUMP” and yes when I was going to make the jump I finally felt “Gosh I’m doing this now! Hard to believe it!! hahaha
They will count 1-2-3 and you have to make the jump! The jump was merely 5 seconds it just too fast!
Once we completed the jump we can get a certificate and a T-shirt which prove you made it. You can also watch a playback video of yourself jumping and purchase it. I just purchase the pictures it came out really nice and the colour was so vibrant.
Anyway it was quite fun really enjoying it and would like to challenge a higher place next time.
This is a post on what I had during my stay trip Queenstown. You can find 10 Places to eat in Queenstown in this post.
Check out my itinerary if you haven’t, and some other foods to share as well. The town is really small so you won’t get lost by searching the shop it is very easy to locate. The restaurants and bars are all gathered together.
Well first of all I think every one who touch down in Queenstown on their first day they will have Fergburger as their first meal! Because is the first thing that come in mind! (or izzit only me?) Fergburger also know as the best burger in the world!!! Some how, I think is kinda overrated. Although I ate it twice LOL!
The crowd is there and we waited 15min for our burgers. Some claim it took 30-45min to get their burger we were lucky because it was not peak time!
Is really huge!! Let’s have a close up picture.
Mine Chief Wiggum which is pork belly and the original The Fregburger which consist of beef with blue cheese.
Chief Wiggum is really for pork belly freak! I cant even finish it. I also tried their “Little Lamby” (on the other day) and I prefer it over the Chief Wiggum, not a pork belly fan after all.
They serve really good pie and all the pies are priced around $4- $6.50. I tried 3 of their pies; Chicken Bacon Mushroom, Vension& Portabello Mushroom and not forgetting le bf favourite pork belly pie. I must say I like their pies more than their burger. Opps no picture did not take it and there is no dine it too; we ate it immediately on our way home. It just located beside Fregbaker.
3. Flame Bar & Grill
I love this so much places! Is warm and cosy and the food is really nice do go there early because this place is full of people during dinner time.
My entrée; Green lipped NZ Mussels at $17.5 and Chicken Wing at $14. The chicken wing claim to be spicy be is just sweet and a little spice not spicy at all! The mussels is my favourite and the cream sauce is just so nice.
Up close of my favourite Mussels;the cream is just perfect for spaghetti.
The mains; Flame mixed grill which is a 1 person portion and is like a combo set where we have ribs and sirloin steak this is priced at $42. One word : GOOD!
Flame Bar and grill is located upstairs which is just right beside Movenpick ice cream shop.
4. Pj’s Fish & Chips
I had their Battered fish & chips for $12 and also Bluff Oyster (the oyster is seasonal). Nice and cheap! Their price are cheaper than Fish Bone for bluff oyster.( Din’t get to try fish bone because we found another cheaper alternative too.) Le bf had Battered Sausage meal with curry sauce (please don’t order the curry sauce is not nice taste like some packaging curry in my opinion)
Pj’s Fish & Chips is just located opposite O’Connell, If you at The Station just cross to the opposite and head up.It is just right beside Kiwi Discovery shop.
This is a specialize chocolate shop and a sweet tooth person like me definitely will have this shop on my list! I got to try their hot chocolate is just nice and soothing for the cold weather One large cup cost $5 and is the price is just the same with their other branch in the Airport also they have one branch in Arrowtown.
Posing with my ice cream this is the dessert I had right after dinner at Flames. I order two scoops one in Patagonia dark chocolate & macadamia and the other flavour is Caramel. The dark chocolate is very rich in flavour.
6. Winnies Pizza
Winnies pizza is so good and is a right place to share among friends they have different types of pizza to choose from.
I got mine by mixing Tri Factor (Ultimate Beef pizza) & Pescara (The seafood pizza)
Pescara is very juicy and you can taste the mussels (sorry I’m obsess with it) and salmon is very fresh (you feel like swimming in the ocean LOL). Le Bf tri factor is one of their best seller it consist the combination of prime steak cuts and bacon (very beefy lol). We get to take away we can’t finish the Large Pizza and that left over is our Supper and Lunch sweet!
7. Brazz Restaurant & Bar
Entry; Mussels $18.50 order the mussels again because I’m missing the Flames mussels and flames taste is richer but the Brazz portion is bigger.
Another combo which cost $42 and Brazz pork ribs is really nice but for combo portion flames is larger. Located opposite Pig & Whistle Pub.
8. Alpine Mart
There are few days we bought food from Alpine Mart and we cooked it at our Lodge. You can find great deals in Alpine Mart too. They will have some discounts on roasted chicken or sausages and even rice and more after 7.30pm and some cost only $3-4 which is a great deal.
Besides you can also find a great deal for bluff oysters!
One box of this which only cost $14 is in a dozen! This is the cheapest bluff oyster I can get so far. And is very fresh too!
To prove this is a close up bluff oyster look at the size! It taste very raw and I like it best with white wine.
9. The Fork And Tap Ale House Arrowtown.
This bar and restaurant is located at Arrowtown.
I tried their Blue Cod & fries I must said is the best! The blue cod is fresh and the battered is just right. It also comes with salad. The price is around $25.
10. A Taste of Gibbston Valley
Can’t get to go Gibston Valley? Worry not they have cafe and tasting room in Arrowtown and the atmosphere is nice.
Get to tried this three wine at the wine tasting room. 3 wine tasting cost $5 and the staff is very friendly in sharing the wine info to us.
Riesling 2013 is one of my favourite! Is hard to purchase Riesling 2013 and the airport does not have it either and is much more cheaper to buy Gibston Wine in here.
Just get back from the beautiful country New Zealand and yeah the view is awesome! This time I venture to south island which was Queenstown. Everything in there is just beautiful and I felt like I’m in a movie scene or a post card photo session is just surreal. The weather was super cold, when I was there it was late autumn and I’m glad is all sunny and nice.
Here are the itinerary that I would like to share out for my one week of stay in Queenstown New Zealand. I flew to sydney to make a transit flight to Queenstown and this is the only way to save more despite the flight view to Queenstown was awesome you get to see the beautiful mountain and lake from the above.
Look I got to see the mountain cape with full of snow from up high! So beautiful! I think is the mountain is called “The Remarkable” even the name is #awesome !!!
Okay lets wrap things up with the full itinerary list. Note this is a summary itinerary less picture will be posted and for each events, I will make a full post individually and will link it together once the post is done.
Day One: Touch down Queenstown airport during the noon and from the airport we took the Connecta Bus to the the nearest bus stop of our hotel. The cost for the transport was NZD8 the bus runs every 20 min from airport to town so is quiet convenient. The bus is easily spotted is in bright yellow colour.
After check in we dig our self some lunch. So the very first meal in Queenstown was their famous “Fergburger” OMG the burger is so huge! I think everyone first meal in Queenstown was fergburger hahahahah!! There was no Q and we get our burger around 15min of waiting lucky us.
Then after that we venture around the town just to get a quick look of it. New Zealand has a very less day time thus during 6pm it was all dark thus for day 1 we don’t get used to it yet and it was so dark it felt like it was already 9pm!!! OMG!!
So “Bluff oyster” is in our must eat list during our trip thus we went to PJ’s fish and chip’s to have the bluff oyster and since is the bluff oyster season every shop has it! It was yummy! (I will share the pictures and details in another post for food only)
After that we went to “Alpine supermarket” to buy some groceries and dinner and there is the only supermarket in Queenstown. Oh they also have “Asian Mart” just located opposite of Alpine Supermarket and they have every Asian food!!! If you are craving Asian food you can find it in there!! So that was basically day one.
Day Two: Bought overnight stay for “Milford Sound” Marina Boat trip we book it from “Real Journey”. I must say the journey to Milford Sound and Milford Sound is amazing there are a lot of waterfalls and nature in Milford Sound. We had a good view of it during rainy day and sunny day we are so lucky. So the road trip start’s at 9am and the journey took 6 hours to the jetty where we reach the jetty at 3pm. For Milford sound journey we get to see Te Anu Lake, Fiorland National Park and homers tunnel and many more.
Day Three: Still in Marina Boat, had breakfast in the boat and at 7am the boat starts to sail to “Tasman Sea” it goes kinda shaky and is super windy out there. After than we reach the jetty at 9am and get back to our mini coach back to Queenstown with another sunny view through out the journey and we reach Queenstown at 3pm.
I will share the pictures and details in another post for my overnight stay in Milford Sound which compile a full details of Day two & three. So stay tune!
Day Four: Booked “Shotover Jet” and “Kawarau Bridge Bungy” where I get a combo deals for both of this activity.
Shotover Jet is a very famous activity in Queenstown and is a must do thing! We had a 20min ride on the jet with 5-6 360 spins and yeah is freaking cold out there!
During noon I get to do the bungy. Oh yeah man! Bungy time!!! Look is only 43m high and of course this view is extremely beautiful I purposely choose this bungy because of the view itself (evil laugh) Did’t want to do the Nevis Bungy because is only rock mountain but the height was 143m is crazy man I think I will be yelling for a longer time and get numb.
For dinner we dine in at “Flames grill bar” and the food was really nice!!!!
Day Five: We went to “Arrowtown” which is 20min ride journey to there by Connecta Bus. Buy daily pass from the bus driver it is cheaper compare to single ride fare. Arrowtown is a really small town compare to Queenstown so is really easing to walk around.
After returning from Arrowtown we went straight up to “Queenstown Skyline” for “Gondola & Luge ride”. Lucky us we get the last few rides for luge as they are closing at 5pm. Also we get to see the sun set yay! They even have “Stargazing” activity at the Skyline. But we din’t go for that. We manage to see many stars during our stay since the sky is clear so stargazing at skyline kinda pricey for us.
For dinner we dine in at “Winnies Pizza” and Oh My the pizza was really good!! Later on we have our dessert at “Patagonia” Oh My their chocolate is real good!!!! Love it!
Day Six: It was the last day to venture around Queenstown and is a very free and easy day for us. We went to “Queenstown Hill” for a walk which is just located behind our hotel.
Later on we went to the Lake side and feed some ducks. The ducks are really hungry!!!
After that we went to “Below Zero Ice Bar” where we purchase a great deal from bookme.com is a really good place to get cheap deals for any activity in New Zealand.
Next we went to “Queenstown Garden” they have a rose garden there and is really pretty and it smells good too. The garden is really nice and they have a lake track around the garden that you can have a good walk along the lake the view is really nice.
Later on we dine in at “Brazz Restaurant & Bar” highly recommend their Ribs!
Day Seven: Last day at Queenstown, before we catch our flight We manage to take a walk to “Queenstown Market” “Saturday Market at the Lake Side” they sell mostly craft and art stuff. Have a noon flight back from Queenstown and have another amazing view back home!
That’s all for the itinerary summary hope it can help you to have a draft on what to do in Queenstown!! Stay tune for my more details post!
If you are thinking where to stay in Sokcho South Korea. I would suggest Casa Seorak. It is a nicerelaxing B&B. I really enjoy my stay with Casa Seorak during my Sokcho trip.
The host Mr Juha Hwang is very friendly and he provide us few useful tips about Sokcho. He is also a very helping host, You can contact him any time before your arrival to confirm your pick up time through email or Facebook.
Casa Seorak is a very relaxing place and just 5 -7 walk minutes you will reach to the bus stop that heads to down town and Seoraksan National Park.

We went to have our dinner at the restaurant that Mr Juha Hwang recommend. Indeed it is very delicious. Especially the Kimchi Jiggae *thumbs up* Just located beside SK petrol station. They have second restaurant over there and this is the third shop lot count from left side of SK petrol station.
The very next day the host prepare breakfast for us and is simply delicious although the portion was too little for us. *bigeater*
